Art Show for Alzheimer’s features the artwork of those living with dementia
The 1st Annual Art Show created by those living with Dementia was held Sat., Oct. 6th at the The Leadership Studio in Atlantic City.
In 2015, Diane Conover of Royal Suites Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and Maria Garcia, of Caring, Inc. founded a support group for those caring for loved ones with dementia. The caregivers participating are able to bring their loved one with dementia and as they attend, their loved one creates art.
The Art was sold on a donation basis and the proceeds were donated to the South Jersey Shore Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Hundreds were raised and hundreds attended.
The Memories in the Making program is held at Caring, Inc, the first Wednesday of the month and third Wednesday at Royal Suites Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center For more info call 609 484 7050
