Foodie Fun at Somers Point Restaurant Week

The countdown to Somers Point’s most delicious week of the year has begun, true foodies are particularly anxious to book their reservations and check some restaurants off their hit-list. For foodies, Somers Point Restaurant Week is required eating, and they dont take the assignment lightly.  

To whet their appetites for the 10-day prix fixe extravaganza, the Somers Point Restaurant Association, sponsored by Sysco, will host a Sip & Savor kick-off party at Greate Bay Country Club, 901 Mays Landing Road, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29. A first bite of restaurant week menus, features tasting tables from 15 Somers Point Restaurant Week participating restaurants, and sips from Titos Handmade Vodka, Carlo Rossi Wines and more! Tickets are only $15 per person and all proceeds will go directly to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Southern Branch. Two Atlantic Cape Culinary scholarships will be awarded as well.

Just outside of Greate Bay Country Club’s Main bustling dining room, the event will host live chef demos by local celebrity chefs Michael D’Angelo and Vincent Tedeschi. Adjunct professors at Atlantic Cape Culinary, Chef Bruce Johns and Chef Jack Whelan will add to the live cooking demos this year. Guests may also enjoy live music performed by the fun and funky popular band, Funkalicious.

Leave the cooking and dishes at home and celebrate the most delicious time of the year. For 10 days this year, Friday, Nov. 3 through Sunday, Nov. 12, the participating Somers Point restaurants will be offering three-course dinners for just $27.17 and a number of them will offer two-course lunches for just $12.17.

This foodie-favorite week is the perfect time to take a culinary tour throughout the diverse and thriving food culture of Somers Point. Food lovers simply dine out at as many participating restaurants as they like. Experience great food and prices that will delight your palate and your wallet.

This event is very popular every year, so it’s a good idea to start thinking about making reservations now if you’re interested in trying out one of the more popular restaurants.
