KNOW BEFORE YOU GO! City of Wildwood Police Department Announces List of Disallowed Items at President Donald Trump’s Rally on January 28

The stage is set for President Donald Trump’s rally in Wildwood, NJ Tuesday, January 28 starting at 5 p.m. at the Wildwoods Convention Center. If you’re planning to attend, please be advised as to what you will not be allowed to bring – the list is detailed and extensive.

Those attending the rally are asked to enter through the front door entrance of the Wildwoods Convention Center. All other entrances will be closed. Disallowed items will be confiscated and will not be returned.

The primary goal for the Wildwood Police Department is safety for all of those who attend the rally. The Wildwood Fire Department will be keeping a close eye on numbers to make sure everything is within fire code. Both the Wildwood Police Department and the Wildwood Fire Department will be under the direction of the U.S. Secret Service. Those attending the Tuesday, January 28 rally are asked to make sure the items they are planning to bring inside the Wildwoods Convention Center are approved by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Anything prohibited by the TSA will not be allowed to be brought inside of the Convention Center.

“The Wildwood Police Department and the Wildwood Fire Department urges everyone participating in the rally on January 28 to be aware of the items that will be prohibited when entering the Wildwoods Convention Center,” said Wildwood Police Chief Robert Regalbuto.

Below is an extensive list of items that are NOT allowed at the Wildwoods Convention Center:

  • Aerosols and spray containers
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Ammunition
  • Animals other than service/guide animals
  • Appliances
  • Backpacks, bags, roller bags, suitcases, and other bags larger than 12”x14”x5”
  • Balloons and balls
  • Banners, signs, and placards, and supports for signs/placards
  • Chairs
  • Coolers
  • E-cigarettes
  • Drones and other unmanned aircraft systems
  • Explosives of any kind, including fireworks
  • Glass, thermal, and metal containers
  • Laser lights and laser pointers
  • Mace and/or pepper spray
  • Noisemakers, such as air horns, whistles, drums, bullhorns, etc.
  • Packages
  • Poles, sticks, and selfie sticks
  • Recreational motorized mobility devices
  • Signs exceeding the size restrictions (20’x3’x ¼ )
  • Tents and similar structures
  • Toy guns
  • Tripods
  • Umbrellas
  • Weapons of any kind, including firearms
  • Any other item that may pose a threat to the security of the event, as determined by, and at the discretion of, security screeners
