Margate’s 10th Annual Beachstock 2021

The Planet’s Biggest Beach Party returns Saturday, June 26, 8:00 am – 10 pm. with mouth watering food, unique handmade crafts, featured retailers and sponsors. Children’s activities, live music, Air Circus single/double line stunt kite demonstrations and lessons, volleyball, South Pacific Island Dancers, beach nature walk, special characters all capped off by an evening movie, bon fire on the beach and a performance by British Invasion.

The activities take place on the beach between Huntington and Granville Avenues with food and beverage set up in the parking lot of the Martin Bloom Pavilion. Featured this year will be the Margate Catch the Wave Cornhole League Tournament where teams can compete to win cash prizes.  Plus, family fun recreational play. Spectators and guests can watch the tournament from the Colmar Home Center Chill Zone featuring comfy furniture and refreshments.

“Beachstock 2021? Yes!,” says Ed Berger, President of the Margate Business Association. “Plenty of room on a beautiful big beach with well thought out safety protocols for every part of the day from sunrise to after sunset.  The Planet’s Biggest (and most cautiously thought out) beach party!”

A major feature of this 14-hour event is non-stop entertainment on the 100.7 WZXL main stage. The musical line up opens with the ever-popular local rock and pop cover band Either Way followed by the get up and get ready to dance party rock and pop dance classic sensation Mas Tequila Orchestra.  Headlining the event with an evening performance will be the renown tribute band The British Invasion Experience playing favorites from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Zombies and more.  The stage excitement continues with a day and evening Samoan fire knife dance performance by the South Pacific Island Dancers. Children and adults can learn to limbo and hula with professional Polynesian dancers and enjoy Tahitian drums.

The all-day excitement includes: volleyball competitions, crafters, vendors, local retailers, sand sculpting lessons with Matthew Deibert, Margate Fire Departments Cool Blast, Kids Treasure Hunt, popular children’s character Hula Minion, a beer and wine garden. At dusk, a bonfire and a family Disney movie Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch. The 95.1 WAYV kid’s stage features a full schedule of activities!

Beach goers can enjoy delicious food like Jonuzi’s Pizza, Double Eagle Saloon barbeque fare, Mad Dog Morgan’s cheesesteaks, crabby mac and cheese, bang bang chicken sandwich. Refreshing healthy fruit shakes and Acai bowls from California Yogurt, and kettle corn and grilled corn on the cob.

Fine artisans will be selling their crafts including jewelry glass art pendants, awesome hand made wooden bowls, cutting boards, photography, crochet items, vintage boom box Bluetooth speaker suitcases and so much more. Shine like the divine! First time at Beachstock, Alissa Dirato Entertainment is rolling out the festival vibes with her brand new “Bling Bar.” Along with her usual offering of face-painting, henna tattoos, and glitter tattoos, get ready for gems, jewels, unicorn horns, metallic tattoos, and adornments for every age and every guest.

Vendors will be at Beachstock providing products and information including Colmar Home Center, Orbit Energy, T-Mobile, Goodway Bakery Caribbean rum cakes and Renewal by Andersen Windows.

Festival goers can enjoy complimentary jitney shuttle service running 10am-10pm along Atlantic Avenue between Coolidge and Fredericksburg Avenues and the Eugene A. Tighe School. Beachstock is organized by the MBA in partnership with Margate City, 100.7 WZXL and 95.1 WAYV. Rain date is Sunday, June 27.
