Where will you Land in your quest? Spotlight with Rick Land

This issue we shine a spotlight on the talented guitarist Rick Land. Rick is a local entertainer and music teacher that started his dream in music when he was just 12 years old. “Driven to play guitar after hearing my first Black Sabbath record at age 12,”  Rick embarked on his musical journey and began teaching at Music Central in Egg Harbor Township in the fall of 2007, at the age of 15.
Today, Rick teaches both privately in Atlantic County and at Atlantic Cape Community College and anywhere in the World via Skype.

With experience in teaching all ages and skill levels, Rick is proficient in Rock, Metal, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Country and Folk Guitar. Rick’s students have gone on to form their own bands and win awards.

Rick has fronted Metal Bands, his own Jazz trio for a time and for the past 4 years, Rick as been playing as the lead guitarist for the band headed up by Country Singer Dave Hangley.  During that time, Rich has opened for some of the biggest names in the music business.  He has shared the stage with Leann Rimes, Joe Nichols, Craig Campbell, Cassadee Pope and many more.

You may see Rick around town as his Rock Star hair usually gives him away. Rick Land is a fabulous guitarist, teacher and mentor. This is what happens when you follow your dreams and land in a place that makes you happy.
