Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City and the company’s employee-based volunteers, Caesars HEROES, have a passion for giving back and honoring those that continue to tirelessly help the community. In honor of National First Responders Day on Wednesday, October 28th, Caesars HEROES will thank the community’s everyday heroes by offering a small token of appreciation through a special lunch delivery to AC Police, AC Fire, and AtlantiCare from the culinary teams at Caesars, Tropicana, and Harrah’s Resort. These groups support the community in enormous ways every day and have served such vital roles in helping on the front lines during the pandemic. To continue showing its gratitude for First Responders, Caesars Entertainment is offering up to 35% off a hotel stay. Savings are up to 35% off Sunday through Thursday stays, and up to 30% off Friday and Saturday stays and is valid now through Dec. 29, 2020. For additional information, visit here. Additionally, on Friday night, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City ended the highly successful run of its Bayside Rock Live outdoor concert series with a donation to The Community Food Bank of New Jersey (Egg Harbor Township) in the amount of $5,527 donated through a portion of ticket sales, as well as a company match.   Due to the devastating impact the pandemic has had on the local area, Atlantic County currently ranks #1 in the state of New Jersey in food insecurity, and every $1 donated can provide up to 12 lbs of food translating to approximately 10 meals that the food bank can provide.

The Boys & Girls Club is doing tremendous things for the community, helping parents who are working – especially with varying hours in the casino industry – to offer care for their kids and keep teens inspired and engaged. Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City has also provided two additional donations to local non-profits in the area that assist with food insecurity and homelessness in Atlantic City. Over 180 sandwiches were donated to Covenant House, which provides youth homeless shelters in the city. The second donation took place at Turning Point, which is dedicated to combatting homelessness in the city. 150 sandwiches were dropped off this week and will continue to be dropped off on a weekly basis as needed.

Chef Michael Balles, Harrah’s Resort’s Exec Sous Chef, Chef Chris on his team, and Chef Pam of Boys & Girls Club During the start of the pandemic, Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City resorts – Bally’s, Caesars, Tropicana and Harrah’s Resort – launched a large-scale relief effort to support the community and donated over 95% of its perishable food to local organizations – The Community Food Bank of Southern NJ, The Salvation Army, and The Atlantic City Rescue Mission amid the COVID-19 crisis.  Caesars and its employee volunteers delivered over 40,000 pounds of food, including fresh dairy, produce, canned goods, and lunch meat to those in need. Food that was not suitable for human consumption – meaning it was past its expiration date but still suitable for certain animals – was donated to The Funny Farm Animal Rescue in Mays Landing, NJ, by the chefs at Martorano’s at Harrah’s Resort. For additional information on The Community Food Bank of New Jersey and Boys & Girls Club, and to donate, please visit The Community Food Bank of New Jersey and Boys & Girls Club.
