NICU. CLOTHING DRIVE

Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union is collecting baby clothing to help children and families in need at the Special Care Nursery located at Shore Medical Center in Somers Point. Drop off brand new items including newborn or preemie clothing, newborn and preemie hats, handmade or store bought blankets, newborn sleep sacks/swaddles. Monetary donations are also appreciated.

Help make a difference in the lives of local families with unexpected life circumstances.

Bowls of Hope Soup Fundraiser (Online)

Earth Day 2021 Virtual Poster Contest

The Margate Business Association and Sustainable Margate are teaming up to present Earth Day 2021 Virtual Poster Contest to raise awareness of the importance of a health ecosystem. Children and adults are invited to participate. Poster focal points should reflect environmental and marine awareness within our seaside community. Submit a photo of your drawing by April 2nd to info@margatehasmore.com. Include the artists name, age and email address. All photos of the posters submitted will be posted on the Margate Business Association website margatehasmore.com and social media pages.

Beth Israel Parking Lot Shabbat & Purim Service

Beth Israel will host a special Shabbat service for Purim Friday, February 26th in the synagogue parking lot. Participants will enjoy the service from the comfort of their cars with sound provided through their car radios. There will be groggers and hamantaschen for all who RSVP. “Be Kind” StoryWalk

You’re invited to the Ocean City Public Library’s “Be Kind” StoryWalk. February 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Day, and we’re celebrating with a Be Kind StoryWalk. The pages of the book, written by Pat Zietlow Miller and illustrated by Jen Hill, have been transformed into signs in Lake Memorial Park. Read while you walk, find the kindness hearts in the park, and complete a survey for a chance to win a special prize. Masks and social distancing guidelines required. Rothenberg Center Presents: Community Conversation – New Jersey’s COVID-19 Storytelling Project (VIRTUAL)

Share your story on how the pandemic has impacted you. The NJ YMCA State Alliance and the NJ Department of Health are collecting stories to memorialize the voices of residents and inform on recommendations for improving public health.
