Tree Lighting Ceremony at Renault

Entertainment will be provided by vocalist Ava Fareta, and performances by the Brigantine Community School Choir. Join Galloway Township this Friday for their Annual Tree Lighting. The Absegami Choir will perform at 5:30, Santa & Mrs. Clause arrive at 6. Somers Point Christmas Parade

The City of Somers Point will host its annual Christmas Parade, starting at 6pm. The Parade begins at Dawes Avenue and continues along Shore Road to City Hall, 1 W. New Jersey Ave. Somers Point Volunteer Fire Companies 1 & 2 will escort Santa Claus to City Hall. Atlantic County Toys for Kids Toy Drive

Santa in the Park

Heritage Park, Absecon

It’s the 10th Annual Santa in the Park, sponsored by Absecon Fire Company 1. Come out to Heritage Park and visit Santa and Mrs. Claus in the gazebo. There will be a pony rode, a hayride, and a bonfire. Snacks and refreshments will be available at the concession stand. The Ladies Auxiliary will be sponsoring a toy and food drive. Please bring an unwrapped toy and/or a nonperishable food item.

Shore Local presents Christmas at the Mansion, a holiday extravaganza including local merchants, food trucks, live music, elves wrapping station, kids activities and of course Santa. The event culminates with a tree lighting at 5pm on the grounds of the beautiful and historic Somers Mansion.

Atlantic County Historical Society Open House

The Atlantic County Historical Society, adjacent to Somers Mansion will be open to the public to coincide with the “Christmas at the Mansion” event. Tours of the museum collection, which includes some highlights of the Somers family and the Mansion, are on the half hour. Admission is free. Masks are required. Ventnor City Twilight Holiday Parade

The Ventnor City Twilight Holiday Parade is this Saturday. The parade will feature marching bands, fire trucks, floats, classic cars, Santa and Mrs. Claus and more. After-parade activities will be held at Ventnor Pocket Park, located at the corner of Ventnor and Oakland Avenues, to meet Santa and friends, pony rides, face painting, a balloon man and more. Somers Point Porch Performances

The Riddlesbrood Players will present an original and a quirky take on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. The performance will be staged as separate acts on various porches in the Bayfront Historic District. Act One will take place at 37 Somers Ave. and then will continue to three other, close-by porches in the Historic District. The evening will culminate outside at Gregory’s Restaurant where light holiday refreshments will be served.

Cape Shore Chorale presents Holiday Music

Cape Shore Chorale, under the direction of Scott J. Breiner, will present a free concert and sing-along of holiday favorites this Sunday. Somers Point-Community First, a local volunteer organization, announced that it will once again host a Christmas tree decorating and lighting event this holiday season. All clubs, restaurants, families, and organizations in the Somers Point community are invited to come decorate a tree. Trees are located along Bay Avenue in front of Shore Medical Center. The decorating of the trees will begin on December 4th. The lighting event will take place on December 8th from 4-5pm. Hot cocoa and candy canes will be available for attendees.
