New ‘Back on Bay Avenue’ Fundraiser Event Series Announced to Benefit Somers Point’s Historical Sites & Organizations

Somers Point’s Economic Development Advisory Commission and ‘Tony Marts Presents’

have formed a new partnership to raise funds for Somers Point’s key attractions. 

The Somers Point Economic Development Advisory Commission (EDAC) and ‘Tony Marts Presents’ have partnered and will host a new fundraising series titled, ‘Back on Bay Avenue’ to benefit Somers Point historical organizations and sites.

“We’re proud to establish the ‘Back on Bay Avenue’ partnership with ‘Tony Marts Presents’ to benefit Somers Point’s nonprofit attractions. We hope this fundraising event series will bring the community together to raise revenue and awareness for our city’s key attractions,” explained Somers Point EDAC Chairperson Greg Sykora.

The first fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, January 29 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Gateway Playhouse Theater, 738 Bay Avenue, Somers Point. This unforgettable evening will feature wine, craft beer, and microbrew tasting, accompanied by the sounds of the Dane Anthony Band, playing all of your favorites from Elvis to Motown. The Patriots for the Somers Mansion, dedicated to the preservation and beautification of Somers Mansion, are sponsoring the concert.

Tickets are $25 and include a wine, craft beer, and microbrew tasting sponsored by Circle Liquors of Somers Point, as well as the 90-minute concert by the Dane Anthony Band. The wine, craft beer, and microbrew tasting will be from 6-7 p.m., followed by the concert.

The second “Back on Bay Avenue” fundraiser is scheduled to take place Friday, March 13. It will benefit the Somers Point Historical Society and the Somers Point Historical Museum. More details will be announced shortly.
